Covid Cafe: Cocktail Cookies for Grandaughter's 21st

Good day to you, chefs of Covid Cafe. We're sad today because normally we'd be prepping up a storm for our annual Mother's Day party. Blub, we have memories (and brother Chris is probably eating all the rhubarb pie he makes us for dessert).

Yes, you can eat hostas
 Click here for the recipe--easy fast sear with butter. I'll report back.

Today we welcome Kay back to the cafe. She's been busy with her decorating tools...

Kay writes: I made cookies for my granddaughter’s 21st birthday. She has finals on her birthday and these days it’s hard to celebrate.

(Magnificent, Kay. With grandmas like you...)

Merci's crocheted masks
If you thought you'd seen every type of mask, check out Merci's efforts. She lines them with blue shop towels. According to Suay Sew Shop, which tested various fabrics, they provide the greatest protection. More here.

Poetry

 Resumé

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren’t lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.
