Up On Crazy Creek: Montana

On Monday, south of Missoula after a couple hours on 93,we make a hard right toward Crazy Creek Campground, approached via four miles of gravel road.

Establishing a new low for frugal camping tonight.

It's late in the camping season, so here we are, utterly alone.

A monstrous rock face abuts a tumbling stream.

Supper tonight: Montana local organic tomatoes with cilantro, red onion, and avocado in an olive oil vinaigrette. Plus collards in olive oil + fish sauce (my go-to ingredient) with sauteed mushrooms.

hail to the chef

Night is falling. Not a soul, human anyway, nearby. What do you think about? Nature's power, loneliness, quiet, the dark, fear, peace?
