A Little Lost Seal?

On a big walk this morning, Art saw this little guy surf up to shore and then galumph-galumph walk with its floppy flippers. Seals are bullets underwater, but very funny on land. She was all alone and I had to use a zoom and my patented point-and-pray technique to get even this shot.

As soon as she noticed us she retreated, back into her element. Tomorrow we should be seeing more seals near Kaikoura, perhaps her original destination.
