A Walk at Emerald Bluffs

Our last day on Lake Wanaka. Work completed, we set out on a walk just a short drive from the campground, passing through a deer farm and sheep and cattle grazing en route.

We're driving onto private property but all we have to do is close the gate behind us.

The quality of light today prompted me to keep snapping pictures.

We parked and got out to walk along the edge of these vast gravel flats, which fill with water at some point, though I'm not sure if it's from mountain snow or tidal effects.

We mooched around all over the place, a perfect Monday stroll.

Back out the way we came.

NZ is Aotearoa, land of the long white cloud

We're kind of choked up in the wake of leaving all this beauty, but our next stop should make up for that.
