Love In The Auckland Wintergarden, Celebration On The Wharf

Quite by accident, Brooke caught a pic of Marc and Leah leaving the Wintergarden in Auckland Domain. Everyone was back on the bus, these two the last stragglers.
A closer look, an intimate moment. Can you read body language?

Stepping into the bus...
We're engaged!

Marc popped the question in Fernz Fernery, Leah enraptured already by one of her favorite plants.

100% pure NZ happiness

After virtually floating aboard our nifty Benz transport bus, I turned around.

July 19, 2015 (NZ time)

Following our informative four-hour tour of the city this morning, we were supposed to be boarding an America's Cup sailboat for a cruise in Auckland Harbor. But 40-knot winds grounded us. (Though these two still appear to be floating.)

We're nothing if not nimble. Quickly a celebration plan was hatched: Champagne and lunch at Live Fish on the wharf.
A toast to love

Marc had the ring designed with diamonds from his Grandma Ellen Hough's wedding ring, her stones bookending the new central diamond.

This wharf is alive with smiles.

Blessings, you two...

  1. WOW I'm so happy for Marc and Leah! What a wonderful moment. I can feel the joy through the pictures. My pregnant, overly emotional, self could just cry these pictures are so touching!

  2. You don't have to be pregnant to cry, honey! We all wept copiously...
